REPUBLICANS BEHIND BLACKOUTS!

President Bush Promotes Blackout Economics

NODE HQ (NE) - The Node Of Evil has learned that President Bush's economic team is behind the blackouts in the Northeast. Anonymous sources with the Tri-State Power Authority in Massachusets have informed us that the power was cut at several key stations along the Hudson River and in Ohio as part of a cunning plan to promote President Bush's new economic agenda. "We needed jobs, so now we have lots of work for people to do" said one unnamed labor departmet source who requested to remain anonymous. The source also noted that President Bush is planning a Northeastern states trip to tout his new "Blackout Economics", a policy of creating "virtual" disasters in an effort to rejuvinate the economy. "Oh, I think that's a wonderful idea -- bring on the dark!" remarked Jim Harding, spokesman for the Heartige Foundation. "A few more catastrophes and we'll have everyone employed. We're definitely on the road to economic recovery". The White House press office didn't return phone calls requesting comments.
